John Leer, Program Specialist - John graduated from Creighton University in 2009 with a bachelorŐs degree in Finance. He was brought to BCSF in coalition with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest and will be spending the next year as a program specialist working on a savings and financial education program within the Bethel community. John is a Denver Colorado native and has spent the majority of his youth playing tennis and mowing lawns. At age 9, John started Lawnboy Enterprises, a local lawn and garden service, and was able to grow and eventually sell his business to fellow contractor Byron Massengale of Show Home Lawns. While in high school John also had the opportunity to serve on Young Americans Bank youth advisory board where he assisted in the planning and implementation of financial education classes tailored to Denver youth. Hobbies include tennis, traveling, fishing, hunting, hiking, skiing and politics. .
